Laser Diode Submounts

Wire EDM machining is ideal for diode submounts (heat sinks) because we can tightly control component thickness and dimensions to meet alignment and edge mount requirements.

Laser Diode Arrays

We manufacture laser diode arrays (aka diode bars) with the precise number, width, spacing of emitters and heat sink type specified for each package platform.

Optic Collimators

Small hole EDM is ideal for optic collimators because it creates burr-free small-diameter holes with very low machining forces. We can produce finished hole sizes from .012-.015” (.34mm) to .121-.126” (3.14mm)

Nanopositioning Parts

Nanopositioning systems are used in a wide range of applications, from optics and microscopy to data storage and communications. XACT Wire EDM manufactures precision components for OEM and custom piezo actuators and piezo flexure stages including single axis, XY, XYZ and tip/tilt stages.
